St Benedict Anglican Rosary Beads
The Anglican rosary is used by many Christian churches, including the Anglican, Episcopalian and Protestant faiths. You can read the background to this rosary here: About The Anglican Rosary.
I've used 10mm round jasper beads for the 4 sets of prayer beads, and 12mm round glossy black onyx beads for the cruciform and invitatory beads. These are larger beads than a standard rosary, making this rosary ideal for people who find handling larger beads easier - and they are well-made for rugged hands too.
The beads are hand-linked with silver rosary wire, and the larger beads are finished with layers of pewter bead caps and are wire-wrapped for extra strength where needed most. Jasper is a natural semi-precious gemstone material which is hard and durable.
The rosary begins and ends with a silver and black Saint Benedict cross. This well-known style of crucifix has St Benedict's ward (prayer of protection) behind the figure of Christ, and an image of the saint on the back.
