Recovery Prayer & Meditation Beads, Pink Jade and Angelite Beads
This pretty set of 12 step recovery prayer & meditation beads is larger than some of the ones I make, and feature pink jade beads and blue angelite gemstone beads. They are designed for members of 12 Step Recovery programs, as an aid for prayer and meditation in general and many people find them useful for the 11th Step as well.
I've used larger 10mm round pale pink jade beads for the 12 beads in the loop, which represent the 12 Steps of the recovery program. The pink jade beads are separated with small blue angelite beads - also known as angelstone - which is one of the few naturally occurring blue gemstone materials. These beads have gentle, soothing synergy when placed together.
Pink jade: loving, soothing, uplifting, relaxing;
Blue angelite: love, healing, compassion, protection.
The loop comes together at a silver pewter Unity symbol, originally the emblem of Alcoholics Anonymous but now recognized as a symbol of recovery from addiction. The 3 sides of the triangle represent the 3 concepts of recovery - unity, service and recovery - encompassed by the circle of fellowship.
The front of the set has a handmade lampwork glass bead with raised pink flowers around the outside. This bead is a place to pause and gather your thoughts before starting around the loop of beads.
The set finishes with a pewter medal with praying hands on the front and the Serenity Prayer in raised lettering on the reverse. It is made with multi-strand super-flexible stainless steel wire, and all ends are properly finished with wire guardians.
Length from mid-back to end of medal: 26.5cm / 10.5 inches;
Serenity Prayer medallion: 2.5cm across / 1 inch;
Beads: 10mm pink jade, 6mm blue angelite, glass & silver seed beads.
These prayer & meditation beads come with a pamphlet explaining a bit about prayer beads and some suggested ways of using them, and will be attractively packaged.
