Prayer or Meditation Beads, Men or Women's Meditation Focus Aid
This set of prayer and meditation beads don't belong to any religion or spiritual path, but are designed as an aid for you in developing your own spiritual practice. They come with a pamphlet explaining a bit about them and some suggested ways of using them.
I've made these ones for use by either men or women, using black onyx and jasper gemstone beads mixed with natural wood beads and antiqued golden brass. A tribal pattern connector brings the loop of onyx and wood beads together, falling into a drop of jasper beads.
Black onyx: grounding, self control, encourages happiness & good fortune;
Jasper: protection, healing, independence;
Wood: a symbol of nature, a reminder of the power of nature.
The set begins and ends with a golden pewter labyrinth pendant. Labyrinths are ancient symbols found in many cultures around the world, dating back over 3,500 years. They represent wholeness, with images of the circle and spiral leading into the center. For many the labyrinth symbolizes the journey of life itself, and is a gentle reminder to take one step at a time
Many people find that simply fingering their beads can promote calmness in challenging times; others use them for counting prayers, affirmations or breaths. Some of my customers assign each bead the name of a loved one, or a special prayer or meditation so that when they come to that bead they can pray or meditate on their purpose.
Length from mid back to end of pendant: 22.5cm (8.9")
Labyrinth: 2cm (0.8")
The strand is well made for regular use. Lovely for yourself, or a very special gift for another. They come attractively wrapped along with a pamphlet explaining a bit about the beads and some suggested ways to use them.
