Christian Prayer Beads - Anglican, Protestant, Episcopalian
This shortened set of Christian prayer beads is based on the layout of the full Anglican rosary, with one week of prayer beads in the loop and an invitatory & a cruciform bead in the front.
Handy for slipping into a pocket, purse or desk drawer, these little rosary prayer beads are suitable for regular use, and would make a thoughtful gift for someone special. Because they are easy to slip into a pocket or purse, they are great for people on the move or traveling, and are suitable for all Christian faiths including Anglican, Protestant and Episcopalian.
For the 7 prayer beads I have chosen greenstone beads (nephrite jade) with a faceted finish, each about 8mm round. These prayer beads are separated with small Czech glass and silver-plated beads for ease of handling, and the loop meets at a center connect of the Holy Spirit dove and cross.
The the front extension are two paua shell heart beads. These natural shell beads are New Zealand's native abalone shell with unique vibrant blue and green colors. I've finished these beads - the invitatory (opening) prayer bead and the cruciform bead - with wee Swarovski crystals and wire-wrapping. The chaplet begins and ends with a Byzantine styled pewter cross.
Length: 23cm (9 1/4 inches inches)
Cross: 2.5cm (1 inch)
This little greenstone and paua shell rosary comes attractively packaged, along with a card explaining a bit about the Anglican rosary and some suggestions for using the beads as an aid to prayer and meditation.
