Anglican Rosary, Greenstone Nephrite Jade Beads, Celtic Cross
The Anglican rosary design is used by many Christians to enrich prayer life. The design has 33 beads, based on the number of years Christ lived on earth, and is familiar to many members of Anglican, Protestant, Epsicopalian and other Christian churches. A pamphlet about the rosary with suggestions for using it is included.
I've used beautiful greenstone (nephrite jade) beads in this rosary. This hard and durable jade has a rich forest green color, and keeps its polish well - the antiqued silver pewter Celtic cross looks great against these beads. The full meaning of the never-ending Celtic knot design is now lost in the mists of time, but one meaning is to show us how our spiritual and physical lives are intertwined.
The 4 groups of prayer beads are 8mm round greenstone, and the cruciform beads between them are 10mm round with a faceted finish. All the beads are hand-linked with silver rosary wire and the larger beads and wire-wrapped to give the rosary that unique handmade look.
Length from center back to end of cross: 34.5cm / 13.5 inches;
Cross: 3cm / 1.2 inches tall.
This rosary is well-made for years of prayer, and comes attractively packaged in a handmade (by me) rosary pouch, along with the pamphlet.
