Anglican Rosary Chaplet Prayer Beads / Christian Pocket Rosary
A great wee rosary for people on the move, or for keeping in your pocket, car or desk drawer for those quiet moments in a busy life when you can make an opportunity for prayer.
The pocket rosary - also known as a chaplet - is a small version of the full Anglican rosary. It has one week or 7 prayer beads and a single invitatory bead to lead into the prayer time, along with a cross - basically it is one-quarter of the full rosary.
I've used clear ruby red Czech glass beads for the week, and the invitatory bead is a lovely handmade ruby glass rondelle with bands of pure silver around the middle, made by an American glass artist. The beads are all wire-wrapped for extra strength, and the invitatory bead is accented with tiny Swarovski® crystals.
The cross is a medieval style budded cross in solid culinary grade pewter. The 3 buds at the end of each arm represent the Holy Trinity, and also the 12 apostles. The rosary is linked with gunmetal plated textured links in keeping with the style of the cross.
Length: 27cm (10.5")
Cross: 2.5cm (1")
Beads: 8mm round Czech glass, 12mm lampwork glass rondelle.
This is a great rosary for men or women, and it would make a thoughtful gift. It comes attractively wrapped with a pamphlet about the Anglican/Christian pocket rosary.
