Anglican Protestant Pocket Rosary / Small Christian Chaplet Prayer Beads in Carnelian
An Anglican pocket rosary is a short version of the full size rosary, handy for people on the move or who travel a lot as the small size makes it easy to slip into a pocket or purse.
The full Anglican rosary (sometimes called an Ecumenical, Protestant or Christian rosary) has 4 groups of 7 beads called weeks, 4 cruciform beads representing the points of the cross, and 1 invitatory bead to begin the prayers with as well as a cross. This smaller version for the pocket has just one week of 7 beads and one invitatory bead as well as the cross.
I've made this set with carnelian gemstone beads - 7 ovals for the looped circle and a 10mm round invitatory bead. The circle comes together at an ornate brass connector leading to the invitatory bead and a handmade ceramic cross pendant.
Length: 7.9" (20cm)
Cross pendant: 1.4" x 0.9" (3.5cm x 2.25cm)
All the beads are wire-wrapped with bronze art wire, making a strong set of prayer beads that will last for many years. They come attractively wrapped with a pamphlet explaining about the Anglican rosary and some suggestions for using them.
