Chaplet Prayer Beads of Saint Lucy / Christian Saint Rosary
This chaplet (small set of prayer beads) of Saint Lucy of Syracuse is based on the layout of the Anglican Christian rosary, and has a loop of 7 "week" beads, and a single cruciform and invitatory bead in the front.
The prayer for this chaplet are based on Ephesians 1:17-19 and Psalm 19, and are included in the card that comes with the chaplet.
I've used pretty pink faceted crystal beads, each 10mm round which is a nice size for a small chaplet, easy to slip through the fingers. The front 2 beads are finished with rhinestone collars and peach Swarovski crystals.
The chaplet begins and ends with a medal of Saint Lucy and a small cross (crucifix).
Lucy's name means "light", or "clear, radiant, understandable." However, all that is known for certain about her is that this brave woman who lived in Syracuse lost her life in the persecution of Christians in the early fourth century. While much of her history is lost to time, the truth is that her courage to stand up and be counted a Christian in spite of torture and death is a light to all.
Length: 23.5cm (9.3")
Beads: 10mm crystal rondelles
Medal & cross: 2.5cm tall (1")
This little chaplet comes attractively packaged along with the prayer card.
